Our Team

Amanda Fernandez

Registered Psychologist | Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner

Amanda is a registered psychologist and behaviour support practitioner, currently providing both behaviour support and therapeutic psychology services within the NDIS space.  Amanda completed a psychology major and a 4th year Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology program at Monash University, and a Master’s in Educational Psychology at the University of Melbourne.

Amanda has a range of experience providing psychological and behavioural support to adults and children through working in both mainstream schools and the public disability sector. Amanda has worked with both typically developing children, and children and adults with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability with a variety of emotional, behavioural, and academic concerns.

Amanda has completed training in positive behaviour support and applied behaviour analysis, suicide intervention, motivational interviewing, psychological first aid, cognitive behaviour therapy, and anxiety management. She has been a part of the Happy Kids Psychology team since 2020 and will now continue providing supports through Happy Lives Therapeutic Supports.
