Deborah Sirice

Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner

Deborah is a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience working across both the government sector and non-government organisations.  Deborah holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Intellectual Disability) from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and a Graduate Diploma in Guided Imagery and Music Therapy from The University of Melbourne.

Deborah has an in-depth understanding of the needs and challenges for individuals with complex therapeutic and behaviour support needs, and her areas of expertise include positive behaviour support, family work, trauma, grief, loss, bereavement and additionally working with CALD and LGTBIQ populations.  Deborah has provided specialist support to children and adults with a disability, and their family members, carers, and service providers in a range of environments, including educational, vocational, hospice (paediatric palliative care) and supported disability accommodation.

Deborah is committed to upholding the rights and dignity of individuals with complex needs, has extensive knowledge of the frameworks guiding practice for individuals subject to restrictive practices, and a focus upon assisting individuals and their carers to fulfil aspects of their well-being and enhance their overall quality of life. She became part of the Happy Lives Behaviour Support team in 2023, and will now continue to provide services through Happy Lives Therapeutic Supports.
