Our Team

Jessica Nelke

Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner

Jessica is an NDIS registered behaviour support practitioner and member of the Happy Lives Therapeutic Supports team, providing a range of behaviour support services to a variety of individuals under the Improved Relationships category of their NDIS plans.

Jessica has an education background, holding a bachelor’s degree of Education (Primary), post graduate diploma in teaching autistic students, and a Master’s degree of Specialist Inclusive Education. Jessica spent over 8 years in mainstream and specialist education settings as a teacher and learning specialist and has an extensive history of working with special needs children, particularly those on the autism spectrum. She also brings sound experience of education department disability policies to her work, including knowledge around reasonable adjustments, individual education plans, and student support groups. Jessica combines lived experience of neurodiversity with a wealth of knowledge in childhood development, disability, and advocacy when working with her clients and their families. She also prioritises a holistic approach to support to provide the best outcomes for participants and is committed to advocating for individuals in a range of areas, in particular regarding their human right to supportive and inclusive education.

Jessica values continual learning and is currently completing a post graduate diploma in Psychological Science at Deakin University with hopes of continuing through the psychology pathway.
